Title: Poi Dog Pondering
Post by: jackl on October 27, 2003, 01:37:00 pm
So how bout a little feedback from the forum about PdP. I've been listening to them for a few years now and this will be my first time seeing them. I get messages from their Yahoogroup "Placeofrefuge" and EVERYONE sez they kick major ass in concert. Looking forward to my FIRST trip to the 9:30 and my FIRST Poi experience.

I feel like I should be familiar with them, but I'm not.  A friend last night was telling me they're in his top ten...a bit rootsy.  I may end up checking them out as we usually like a lot of the same music.

Me, too, perhaps the same late '80s gig on F St.

BTW, opener Abra Moore used to be in the band. I would expect her to sing a few with PD.

They also opened for Camper Van Beethoven (Think that was the show) at the F street location.  I know they opened for one show I saw there and it was either them or Ed's Redeeming Qualities for that show.
