Title: Upcoming shows (non-BC or 9:30)
Post by: Bags on August 12, 2003, 02:21:00 pm
I've been away so long, I'm really out of the loop.  Any shows of particular note coming up, preferably not at Black Cat or 9:30 club (only because those schedules are so easy to get).

Of course, if your favorite band is coming to Black Cat, throw in a plug by all means!

FYI, trip to Amsterdam and Germany was FANTASTIC, even with the stolen purse/passport incident that sent me off to the U.S. consulate and kept me in Europe an extra day (that sounds fun, but when you're stressed, it's not).

This could be the most amusing double bill ever.  How can this not be coming to DC.   I'd pay $50 to see a bill as rediculously rediculous as this.

Exit Clov is opening, but they are the can't miss band, I swear.

Otis Finch did a gig with "your pal pete" at the blue nile a couple of weeks back.

I love your pal, but Otis Finch as friendly and as nice as they were and as many of their stickers I still appear to have, to put it tactfully, have a lot to learn..

the blue nile is an ethiopian restaurant, in a bad area. A very strange music venue.

Otis finch were countryish rock, I think. Pretty bland.

Please don't insult country-rock.

A description on their website said:

Bumpin' it up with some sweet grooves.  An inspiring
mix [with] roots in funk and punk with some quality
jazzy highlights thrown in. They have what it takes."

sounds more like they are travelling down the Dave Matthews road to me.

Shit I thought that was a bikini, I didnt want to lead any young ones astray. I hope the site of all that drawn fur doesnt lead them to a life of depravity.

I thought it was a bikini too.

It's rare these days when armpit, leg, or even pubic hair on a woman is shown on an otherwise attractive female. Hairiness is usually associated with fat and/or ugly women.

There was a young girl at the gym today with hairy armpits, it wasn't too bad though because she was fair....the armpits aren't really hateful for me to be honest, but hairy legs.....NASTY!
