Title: Hooray for a 1 show night! (Good triumphed over evil)

Aw yeah... I knew there was hope for the world.  Thank god!  Any ideas on how this extremely sane decision to cancel the ill-conceived late show came about?

My guess is poor ticket sales. I just feel bad for those who bought tickets for the second show.

Oh, I have quite a few tickets for the second show and am happy to have the surprise windfall.  That and now I can afford drinks at the 7:30 show.  Hooray!

as posted in the other thread, ticket sales for the late show were doing very well.  the late show was cancelled because the singer is apparently ill, and not feeling well enough to perform two shows in a night.

some took pleasure in the fact that the early birds who got tickets for the first show got ripped off by the announcement of the ill-fated second show...paybacks are hell huh!

I'm sure he'll be fine once he's had his lemsip, bowl of soup and a nice nap this afternoon.

 With great regret we've had to cancel the late show at the 9.30 club in Washington DC tonight (Tuesday October 28th). Stuart has a chest infection, and he's unable to sing two sets. We're really sorry about any inconvenience caused, and wouldn't be taking these measures if it wasn't
 absolutely necessary.
 
 Please contact the venue for information on ticket refunds. The times for the early show are unchanged. Sorry!
