customer service people that can't speak english.
 
   it irks me to NO END!!!
 
 NO END I TELL YOU!!!!!
 
   its almost as bad as a fucking blind cab driver.

That's because companies outsource customer service to save costs. It's common now.

Wow thanks for clearing that up.  I thought they sent all these jobs to India because they liked the food.

excuse me, but i , on a regular basis, pay more for things so i dont have to deal with shit like this!!!   not always, but sometimes.

When you are trying to buy something they speak English perfectly.  When you are trying to cancel something or get a refund, not so much.  It's a sales tactic, methinks.  
 
 Actually, the World Is Flat, the bestseller by Thomas Friedman, has great info about the call centers in India.  For the most reputable companies, the employees have to speak English clearly and then, this is great, they go to "language schools" to learn an accent, i.e. Southern, Midwest, pahk the cahr, whatever.

And when it comes down to it, though I have tried, this is why I can't get a job with Comcast. I'll throw in a fake accent or dialect if they want and they won't even have to send me to some language school.

I was more intirgued with his discussion on JetBlue using Mormon Housewives part-time because they're educated and have nothing else to do.
