moz.

moz....though I may regret it. But, worth the chance.
-
to clarify:
Morrissey
September 29, DAR Constitution Hall
-
Supergrass.
Still waiting for the Smiths Reunion at Coachella next year....
-
Radiohead
-
FYI folks, I saw Morrissey in July in Chicago...it was merely OK, but NOT a great show. I've seen him do better, and I thought his band really didn't seem to ever get into a groove until more than halfway through the show. Mediocre venue and OK show vs. better venue and better live act. Hands down, Supergrass. Plus it's only 15 bucks!!
-
Supergrass.
-
If I were to choose either, I'd say Supergrass cuz it's way cheaper.
Too many other good fall shows to even consider either.
-
Morrissey, but only if I can get right up front.

You have a better chance of an original Beatles line-up reunion !
Mozzer all the way.

I'll second that sentiment. No way you're seeing a Smiths reunion next year. There may be a Morrissey/Marr collaboration someday, but not in the forseeable future.
As for my pick...Moz. You never know, he may not go on tour for another five years. Supergrass will be back much, much sooner.

I think you'll be okay seeing as most people will be at the Supergrass show! :D

I stand by what I said...$55 (and that's before service charges) to see Morrissey in a mediocre venue put on a semi-OK show vs. Supergrass for $15 in a great venue doing their greatest hits...no contest for me. Of course, if you've never seen Morrissey before then it's worth going to see. I've seen him 3 times now and I just don't want to pay $65 for a concert right now.
For the record, the only Smiths songs Morrissey played were "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out", "Rubber Ring", "Shakespeare' Sister" and "The Headmaster Ritual". Though apparently he is still doing "Shoplifters of the World Unite" at some shows. It's mostly the new album he's doing along with a few oldies like "Everyday Is Like Sunday" and "I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday".

and seeing as my first dj gig at the 9:30 club would have been Supergrass had they not cancelled the last time. I should be doing a return engagement for the show... Now where is that Cockney Rebel song
that and there is open date between DC and Philly so if the first show sells well who knows

That's all I need.....though I'll miss Marr. Still, worth it.
-
are tickets really $55?
-
$40 and $55...
-
I personally am all about some Grass
yee-yeah
I could I be more self obnoxious
-
so $50 and $70 with charges. feck that. sign me up for supergrass instead.

that would be glorious if supergrass played dc two nights, allowing people to see both bands.
or make the supergrass set early, allowing people to head over to DAR.

Setting my obvious bias for the forlorn one aside....for those who've never seen Morrissey in concert, it's a must for any music lover. Even if you aren't a big fan, the spectacle put on by his adoring public is worth the price of admission alone.
-
The sight of Brian Wilson drooling all over himself with his fly undone might be a better spectacle.
