Oh man... finally a reputable "artist". The irony to all this is listening to an interview over a year ago. She swore up and down that bearing skin and sleaziness was not her... apparently the dollars came a knockin'. My brother (god love him) told me the other night he and his wife are going to see Jewel in philly in sept. They are pretty psyched. Said they were thinking about trying to get tickets to Radiohead, but honestly, knew none of their music compared to Jewel. And for some reason, I just said something to the effect of "hey, if you like it, go have a good time".... I was beyond explaining a few things to him.

40 fucking dollars for Jewel. Christ that is the biggest joke of all. I guess she needs it to add more plastic surgery in addition the the boob job.

But guaranteed it will sell out... no pun intended.

I think they're real...and I would happily volunteer to find out.

I don't think she's had any cosmetic surgery done. Hell, she even has one crooked tooth which is very unusual for a yank. I would definately say she's all natural.
It's a shame she went the pop-diva route though.

well, i don't think she ever had the means to get braces. . .after all, she did grow up in a mobile home in alaska.

i thought it was growing up in a car that she was always going on and on about.
I had a roomate in college who was the biggest Jewel fan...she used to read me passages from Jewel's book of poetry all the time...pissed me off

I shall be far away as possible for this show, boob job, plastic surgery or no boob job, plastic surgery.

Thank God for Jewel! Without her invention we'ld all be forced to get used to those crappy, little cardboard sleeve thingies. Anybody whose claim to fame is the "Jewel box" certainly deserves for themselves the 'respectable artiste' mantle.

Speaking of, one of my new big pet peeves is those cardboard CD sleeves that are just a tad too tight for the CD. You know the type. First you try to slide the disc out. No action. Then you try to ever so slightly grab onto the edge of the disc and pull it out. It's in there good and tight. You give up but still don't want finger prints and smudges all over your disc so you slide your finger in the sleeve and try to budge it out by placing your finger in the center hole and pulling. Often, this only makes it harder because the finger only shortens the width allowed for the CD. I have a few like that and they are one freaking bitch!

I think the cardboard ones are a better bet environmentally.

Correct me if I am wrong, but from the new video it seems she is parodying all those pop-divas. But I haven't heard anything beyond that one new song. I don't know if the rest of the album is pop-ish?

Much of the album is standard dance-pop similar to Shakira and Christina Aguilera.
