Title: Decemberists cancelled?

I heard last night in Philly they cancelled their show because of illness, is that the case tonight also?

why don't you call the club and find out 202-667-7960, and report back

Well I did that, and when I called that number I got the concert hotline, found another number and got a "I am not sure".

oh, wonderful, I saw the guys post on PB, hopefully somebody was just too drunk and now they are fine, this thread will hopefully thin the crowd

 10.28.03 Apologies are due to those of you who came out to the Philadelphia show last night. Stricken with the flu, Colin had struggled through the last few shows and had sustained some serious damage to his vocal chords and we were consequently forced to cancel the show. Sadly, flu season has not been particularly kind to the Decemberists -- 3 out of 5 of us have been afflicted. The extra day of rest has done no end of good, however, and we're all happy, healthy, and back on schedule. We promise to come back to Philadelphia soon and put on an extra special show. A reminder to Philadelphiites: New York is but a few hours away! Come see us at the Mercury Lounge on Wednesday, October 29th!

So this means we can still go hang out in a small enclosed room with three guys who are carrying the flu?

hahahaha, i was just thinking that. the show is gonna be packed, and 3 guys with the flu, not good.
