 Accidentally came across a used disc over the weekend...I think I like it.

it is one I have been keeping an eye out for in the used bin, heard good things on another board, but have never heard them

Markie would be impressed. They're playing with the Decemberists in Jan.
 
 Of course perhaps her would be put off by the fact that they opened a show for Wilco.

The one I found is an import, The Quiet Vibration Land, not sure what made me pick it up...maybe the cover art, I had time to kill and figured I'd listen...
 
 Right off, the first two tracks were very poppy and lush...some songs in the middle are a bit too 60s-ish for my tastes, it ends strong...overall, I'm curious to hear more from them...

Yeah, I've had some MP3s for a couple years now because I really liked some of the songs I heard, oh, maybe about 4 or so years ago. I love the 60s sound which was why I originally liked them. Then I downloaded some songs and wasn't impressed with a lot of it so never bothered buying it.
 
 They have a new album out now which has a much better production but a bit different sound. You would probably like that much better. Some of it is pretty good and some is just okay. I had a link to preview the entire album but not sure if it still works. If I get to it and it still works, I'll post it.
