Rilo Kiley were fantastic! I really enjoyed Grand Ole Party too. If you're going on Thursday, show up early enough to check them out. I didn't get there early enough to check out Art in Manila, unfortunately.

Great DJ'ing, Kosmo! I was really digging the stuff between Grand Ole Party and Rilo Kiley.

Rilo Kiley was controlling the music before they came on and it was the Tom Tom Clubs first album...

Great show!  I missed the first act too.  The second was interesting.  I've never seen so many instrument changes during a show.  It was obnoxious of people to keep hitting the balloons towards the stage.

I noticed recorded music between some of the songs.  Was that provided by the DJ or RK?

RK in conjunction with their sound person, is my guess..

RK was responsible for all of the songs between GOP and RK or just the last few before RK took the stage?

Changing subjects: Has NPR given up posting their shows in MP3 format? Because I don't think there's been a show this year that they've done that. Not that it's a problem for me really, but it was a lot more convenient than capturing the WMA stream and converting it.

yup all the music between GOP and RK... It's being mentioned in interviews that the Tom Tom Club album was a bit influence on the new record.  It's a cool record as it was recorded around the time of the "Remain In Light" tour so it has some of the same musician on it Adrian Belew and Steven Stanley.

Tom Tom Club was initially a side project with Talking Heads rhythm section Chris and Tina,  along with Tina's sisters and others.  The bands first record is classic.   Chris and Tina did future recording and touring as the Tom Tom Club but it's never been as good as the original outing...

I don't know a thing about file formats, but if you subscribe to the NPR "All Songs Considered" podcast you get podcasts of all the live shows they broadcast.  That's how I have them and listen to them...
