who is going to see them tonight?
wooooooooooooo
-
Where?
-
fort reno, duh.
-
Yeah I just found it. Wish I knew in advance. :( Would've loved to have seen em.
-
but it has not happened yet...
-
I'll probably be there.
-
Yeah but I have other shit to do now instead.
-
I'll be there. First time I'm able to get out to a Ft. Reno show this year - I'm looking forward to it!
-
I missed it, how was the show?
-
I thought it was pretty dull. Ian's guitar broke in the middle of the set, which resulted in about 10 minutes of nothing. The quiet parts were so quiet that they were pretty much inaudible from where I was. I like The Evens, but I thought it was a pretty dull show.
I caught the last 10 minutes or so of DCIC. It sounded like they were tuning up the whole time. I like improvisation, but it just seemed way too random.

I'd have to agree. I had never seen The Evens before, and left with the impression that they were just okay. But maybe I'll give them another shot since it sounds like it might've been an off night.

Really? I actually liked this the most out of all the times I have seen them. I don't know where you were standing, but after his guitar broke we all went right to the stage. Maybe it helped that I was standing in front of Amy, but it was great up front - lots of in-crowd participation and dancing. And I have really been loving the new stuff.
Did anyone else see Ted Nugent?

Was it really Ted Nugent?
-
it definitely seemed like Ted Nugent...
-
Indeed it was the Nuge... :)
I had a good time. Nothing to knock my socks off but it was a good show nontheless. You can't really rock out more sitting down with a guitar than Ian was. The dude has got the passion.

It's possible. Mackaye said he was a huge fan of The Nuge's music.
-
If it's any consolation, Allison Wolfe was there, too...
-
Twasn't Ted Nugent.
-
best to see the evens at a positive force $5 church show.
-
I'm pretty sure I saw the Nuge at Sleater Kinney, actually, so it wouldn't surprise me...
-
It wasn't, the guy John doing sound for the Evens just looks like the Nuge.

nope. different guy. we're talking about a dude who could be ted nugent's seperated twin brother. at least i am. ;)
-
Yeah, there were totally two Ted Nugent lookin' dudes at Fort Reno...there was the sound guy, who sort of looks like him, and then there was another guy standing kind of by the side of the stage for a while (yeah?) that was totally Ted Nugent.
I wonder if the Nuge likes Georgie James.
