just spent a couple hours choosing tunes and chatting with a couple forum members, listening to the creation of a mixtape on the fly so much fun.
once this goes public and they get the mobile phone apps out there, productivity will go down amongst music geeks for sure.
the potential to hang out in a room listening to well known DJs, bands, etc pick tunes will be huge. right now i'm in a room where DJ Jazzy Jeff is in the rotation and the other DJs in the room are picking ace jams as well.
Sir Mix-A-Lot made an appearance in room, Little Boots popped into a British Pop music room to play new track. This is gonna be smokin hot site in the future...

How can you tell if its the actual person? Do they have 'verified' account listed like Twitter?
I trainwrecked a room by following the selection of 'Superstar DJ Keoki' spinning some Lindstrøm track with the theme from 'Facts of Life'.

i love that usually kosmo would mock and disrespect JazzyJeff and Diplo... but have them show up on turntable.fm and all of a sudden they add legitimacy ;D

Turntable.fm got a bit fun on Sat when the Pixies announced via their facebook and verified twitter account they were hosting a room there. While whomever was behind the Pixies account on tt.fm was cagey as to who it actually was, they were in Boston and playing rare BBC radio sessions and pre Pixies Charles Thompson's dorm demos. I managed to play a couple including a The Martini's track, a Devo b-side and this

Right now the best room on turntable is the Daily Theme Room, where no matter the theme one is guaranteed to hear at least one Ween and Robyn Hitchcock song at day.

Well this is a total shocker but the legit turntable.fm is back!!!! Someone is\was working on a new version that was being called a scam by the original creator. I will be checking it out tomorrow for sure as it’s in beta and uses YouTube...
