Does anyone know how long the headliner generally gets to play for at the DC101 Chili Cookoff?
I'm trying to decide it it's worth braving this event that I've only heard bad things about to see Soundgarden, or just trekking to Atlantic City the night before to see Soundgarden do a headlining show. If I knew that Soundgarden is likely to get an abbreviated set at the DC101 thing, that is more ammo for the decision to go to Atlantic City instead.

I've been to the cook off the past few years. The headliner usually gets about an hour to hour and a half. I'm sure Soundgarden will play about 12-15 songs or so, if that. Incubus played 19 songs last year for a headliner. If you never been, just be ready for wife beaters and lots of crowd surfing, like non stop crowd surfing. They come at you in waves.

tough to say which is a less authentic soundgarden experience...
i'd lean borgata i think
at least the chili cookoff will have the usual high meathead quotient that was always at the big grunge shows in the 90s
the borgata? 85$ a ticket? Guido Gambino and his bimbo?

Saw Soundgarden open for Living Colour at the QE2 Club in Albany, NY, 1988. Once was enough for me!
