Title: Julian's America II: Electric Boogaloo
Post by: Julian, Semi-Retired WUNDERKIND on September 04, 2013, 12:36:55 pm
It's fully possible to appreciate Julian's America as a genuine cultural phenomenon. It's also fully possible to appreciate Julian's America as a metaphor for what it takes to become a genuine cultural phenomenon. Either way, for too long, Julian's America has registered as an anachronism, a nostalgic reminder of times long past when people only wore seersucker sincerely, never ironically. For too long, Julian's America has seemed to lay dormant like a vintage 1980's wide diagonal-striped Jean Paul Gaultier tie sitting in the back of a magnificently oak-lined closet awaiting the day it came back in style. No more.

For the past few years, I have heard from Julian Americans all around the actual America, western Europe, and the Maldives asking the same question: "where are you now, in a post-didn't elect Hillary world, when we need you most?" Allow me to answer in a short parable. One day a man is walking along a beach and has a vision of myself. He sees scenes of his life and two set of footprints in the sand, one he identifies as a pair of Prada docksiders and one as a pair of Bottega Veneta captoes. At the particularly troubling points, he notices only the footprints of his beloved Prada docksiders and he turns to me and asks, "Why is it at the lowest points of my life did you cease to walk with me?"

To which I answered: "The one set of footprints you see ... that is when I took off my Ferragamo's -- which you quite inaccurately identified as Bottega Venetas -- because I did not want the sand of the beach to wear away prematurely at the leather soles." Think about that: I did not want the sand of the beach to wear away prematurely at the leather soles.

Julian's America has always remained alive in the hearts and minds of all true Julian Americans everywhere. Its alive in the hearts of young children, hiding under their palatially arranged 1000 thread count sheets with a flashlight to sneak peaks at L'uomo Vogue and n+1. It was alive walking beside you all this time, telling you which way to go in its trademark still, small voice; it just did not want the sand of the beach to wear away prematurely at its shoes' leather soles. Its time again to rejoice and highlight the things that make life great, the things that make life worth living! It's time to leave the summer vacation of our collective discontent and enjoy the cool autumn breezes in Julian's America!

i'm a biker living in london UK, and i've discovered 3 major ways of pozzing up unsuspecting negs. the first i discovered by accident when i was fucking a guy and the condom broke. i said i was sorry, and i was. but later on it made me smile. then i was doing another guy, and the condom broke when i put it on. i fucked him anyway, feeling guilty and horny as hell at the same time. then i started pricking the rubbers in their packets, so that when i started fucking, they'd split. but this doesn't always work, so now, to be extra sure, i go to clubs with a pair of nail scissors, pick up a handfull of condoms, go to the loo (john), sit down and carefully cut open the packets, remove the condoms and snip a bit off the tip. the i roll it back up and slide it back into the packet. then i look for guys who are into safer sex only. i've done 100's of guys using this method over the years.

the second method is more work, but more fun. i chat up negs on-line who want to bareback with other negs, i say, 'i tested neg 1 month ago. i think because i only top, i've always tested neg'. if they want, i tell them i'll pull out before shooting. i never do. there's loads of guys into being fucked by a guy in bike leathers and crash helmet, so i do them like that the first time, then i get more intimate, smiling, and kissing passionately. i make sure i fuck them at least 5 times, then i stay in touch with them to see how they get on. i've done about 20 guys using this method over the years, and i've only failed once. when they tell me they've tested poz i say, 'o god! how did that happen? do you think i should get tested too?' thank god for chat rooms. they can't see how much i'm smiling.

the third method is the most dangerous and the hottest. i had a biker mate, and for a while we'd go round together using the above 2 methods. one nite we couldn't find anyone so we rode up to hamstead heath, London's cruising area. we wandered about till we saw a cute young asian guy. he was a bit drunk, i think it was his first time on the heath. we smiled, said hello, and led him to a quite part of the heath. i started kissing him while my mate pulled down his pants. then my mate pinned him to the ground, and using just spit for lube, raped his ass. i held him down and pushed his face into the mud to stop him screaming. when my mate finished it was my turn. after we'd finished we both pissed on him and told him we both had hiv. we left him there, sobbing, soaked in piss, with our poz loads in his cunt. i still get a hard on thinking about it.

Alessi Kitchen Designs

Giovanni Alessi's dream remains alive with the house of Alessi's Italian 2013 kitchenware line! Its bold, thoughful design spruces up even the drabbest of kitchens. It's literally like saying "my cat just died, but I don't care because these ice trays make perfect Italian Lira mark shaped ice cubes!" Every Alessi item fits the company's tag line of "art + poetry" with stunning attention to detail and forward thinking.

Team Julian has been going absolutely crazy over the spring 2013 Liconi set of deconstructed bowls made to look like tin foil meshings. I had a dinner party two weeks back and we used the Liconi 18" bowl as a crescent roll holder and the entire party screeched to a halt as no one wanted to pass the bowl around to the next person waiting. It literally upstaged Syria as the evening's topic of conversation.

What makes Alessi's products particularly attractive is the blend of avant garde sensibilities with classic western European touch. It's not Waterford or T + C, and it's never going to be. But it is always going to be feel both new and familiar all at once. Its a respectful nod to the past and a bold stepping through the door to the future all at once. Every Julian's American kitchen deserves to have a design upgrade before Thanksgiving cocktail season rolls around. What's in your cupboards?

Jack Rudy Small Batch Tonic Syrup

If Julian's America is built on any founding principle, its that the G & T is the perfect beverage for any occasion. The crisp, quinine fueled elegance of the properly proportioned gin and tonic pleases even the most renowned of palettes. However, its simple ingredient list has long allowed the gin and tonic to flourish even among undesirable people who previously only stocked gin to make white-trash "strong islands" in the back of their pickup trucks while watching SEC football games. What's a lover of opulence to do?

For years, our best solution has been to step our gin game up with supreme offerings from Kensington XO and budget gin-gineers like Hendricks and Magellan allowing every true Julian's American to have a G&T that's genuinely a step above. Back in 2009, this very column suggested allowing your endless pockets to shell out for Q Prime Tonic Water, but now the next evolution in the gin and tonic has arrived.

Can I tell you how much I love Jack Rudy Small Batch Tonic concentrate? Its literally the best tonic I have ever experienced. Cinchona Tree extract quinine with a bitter yet botanical blend provides a literal masquerade ball on your tongue. To drink regular Canada Dry tonic water after having this is tantamount to funding a dog fighting ring. I was drinking some Jack Rudy G&Ts (with the excellent new gin from Michigan's Grand Traverse distillery) with soon-to-be Virginia governor Terry McAullife and both of us agreed the governor's mansion should be stocked to the hilt with this vibrant tonic upgrade.

My only complaint against Jack Rudy's Small Batch Tonic? The price. At just $32 for a two bottle case (each bottle should get you around 16-18 cocktails in my experience) its simply a matter of time before middle class people emulate the opulence of this incredible cocktail mixer. So, my Americans, get yourself a case of Jack Rudy's Small Batch Tonic and have a gimlet tonite on your boat while you still acceptably can. It's like that perfect, last summer weekend in the Hyannisport with every glass. Bottoms up!

I'll admit that maybe I didn't always appreciate Julian's contribution to the board, but this might be the funniest thing I've ever read ever on this board ever.

To which I answered: "The one set of footprints you see ... that is when I took off my Ferragamo's -- which you quite inaccurately identified as Bottega Venetas -- because I did not want the sand of the beach to wear aware prematurely at the leather soles." Think about that: I did not want the sand of the beach to wear aware prematurely at the leather soles.

"Since the release of the film, the subtitle "Electric Boogaloo", a reference to a funk-oriented dance style of the same name, has been used to refer to sequels pejoratively. The usual connotation suggests a sequel that is ridiculous, absurd, unwanted, unnecessary, formulaic, or obscure."

clearly someone needs to update this wiki entry.

America's Cup 2013

The sporting event of the year came and went in shocking, near orgasmic fashion! The greatest testament to man's physical ability, mental acumen, and dominion over nature -- yachting -- played out in a 3+ week thunderstorm of precision racing off the shores of San Francisco's scenic bay. Truly the world's most byzantine sport, what better way to celebrate Julian's America than to revel in Actual America's unbelievable come from behind victory from 0 to -2 at the beginning of the regatta (and was 8-1 for the Kiwis at one point!) to win 9-8 in 19 races. Truly, to compare the 2004 Red Sox's flukey comeback against the New York Yankees to this stunning accomplishment would be like comparing the birth of Jesus Christ to a back-alley, prom-night dumpster abortion.

For the uninitiated, allow us a moment to break our traditional narrative format to highlight all the reasons yachting truly stands as the greatest metaphor for the Julian's American lifestyle:

So, gentle readers, its time to look back and bask in the joy that is the most thrilling America's Cup in recent memory! So long ago seem the days when rogue hooligans would damage the beloved Cup in protest, rather, we woke this morning to children in Atlanta and Detroit and your local country club celebrating one of the brightest days in American history and dreaming of one day accomplishing so much themselves, if not in yachting, then at least in dressage, polo, or even lacrosse. An inspiration to us all, may James Spithill live 10,000 years!

it's inclusion. Why Team Oracle USA's is a sterling example; the crew is made up, not only of Americans, but of the best and brightest Britian, Australia, New Zealand, and France have to offer!

The crew was not made up of "Americans" but four Australians, two Kiwis, and one sailor each from the United States, Britain, Italy, Holland and Antigua.  I think you missed your opportunity here to write about the real Julian's America Billionaires outsourcing to win.

And the vast majority of San Francisco is very happy to see it go.  The short term leases signed by the teams and fans of the "sport" are the main reason SF has now passed NYC as the nations least affordable place to live.  The rebalancing will be a joy to watch shake out.  If you're too snooty to garner even the slightest bit of attention from a group of Americans that love the smell of their own farts, have you really made a mark?

What I'm most interested in is your take on the concerts that were organized for the Julian American's who watch the America's Cup:

Imagine Dragons
Sting
Steve Miller Band and The Doobie Brothers
Counting Crows and The Wallflowers
311 with Cypress Hill and G. Love & Special Sauce
Weezer with The Limousines
Sublime with Rome, Descendents and Pennywise
Cheech & Chong with WAR
Train with The Script and Gavin DeGraw
The Jonas Brothers with Karmin
Steely Dan with Deep Blue Organ Trio
Heart with Jason Bonham?s Led Zeppelin Experience
Jason Mraz with Walk Off The Earth
Sammy Hagar and the Wabos with Rival Sons
Journey with Tower of Power
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros with Midlake
Fall Out Boy with Panic! At The Disco and Twenty One Pilots
The Lumineers with Dr. Dog and Nathaniel Rateliff
The Avett Brothers with Nicholas David

That's your America in Music.  Enjoy.

So I was reading Savage Love last week, and I was sort of wondering if this letter was from Julian.

I'm a 23-year-old homo who came out one year ago. Life has done good and bad things to me. Good things include success in the intelligence lottery, a full ride to college, and now a job with a six-figure income. Sadly, I find that my place in life is different from the place occupied by most other young gay men. When meeting someone, I am often bummed to discover that they are in a state of transience (between cities, between degrees), or bummed because I detect a difference in socioeconomic upbringing/status that will make it hard for us to relate to each other, or bummed because they are not as smart as I am, or most often bummed over a combination of all these things. These thoughts sap my interest in new people, telling me that "it just wouldn't work." Am I right to think that and keep looking, or should I do some substantial "rounding up to one" and go on that second date, even though the odds of compatibility seem slim?

Lots Of First Dates

I'm tempted to tell you not to go on "that second date" with anyone you feel is beneath you intellectually, socioeconomically, or status- or upbringing-wise?not to spare you his ghastly company, LOFD, but to spare him the ghastliness of yours.

Look, Gloria Upson, if dating gay men your own age means exposing yourself to guys who are in "states of transience"?completely normal states for dudes in their early 20s?then date guys in their 30s and 40s. Not that dating older guys is a surefire recipe for romantic success: Your snobbery, classism, and elitism are so repulsive that most older guys will be blocking your number before you can call about a second date.

Andrew Sullivan wrote a beautiful post at The Dish a few weeks ago about the egalitarianism of getting laid. He recalled dancing all night in a gay club full of African American guys back when he was a "cute twinky English schoolboy." And Andrew didn't just dance with the black guys he encountered after moving to Washington, DC.

"There's nothing like dating or fucking a person of another background, race, or class to help you see the humanity in everyone," Andrew wrote. "How do you get scared of generic young black men when you've danced with them all night long?... In that sense, I've always felt that being gay was a real moral blessing. I could have been so much worse a human being if I'd been straight."

You're young, LOFD, and I'm being hard on you. I don't mean to step on your ping-pong ball. But if you don't get a grip on your classism and snobbery, you will become so much worse a human being than you need to be. So snap the fuck out of it, okay? And remember: We gay people are a tiny, tiny minority. If you reject as potential partners, friends, and fuck buddies all gay men who aren't of your exact same class, education level, social status (ugh), or salary level (barf), LOFD, you won't be left with many guys to date, hang out with, or fuck.

Which is not to say that you'll wind up alone. Refusing to date any gay man who doesn't belong to the same club that Bunny Bixler does (and isn't pulling in 100K+ a year) will complicate your search for love, LOFD, but there are other gay snobs out there. You could find a boyfriend who's just like you, i.e., same class, same education, same income bracket, same snobbery and shitty-ass attitude. But I wouldn't wish that kind of guy on anyone, LOFD.

Not even on you.

julian . . . you never own a boat.  you becomes friends with peoples who have boats, and let them deal with the problems / nightmares that any boat owner will clue you to.  slow pitches, indeed.  and when it comes to cat pictures, you sometimes have to know when too much is too much.

I would never read Savage Love. Did you know in the very first episode of this guy's quickly-cancelled TV show he visited -- shudder! -- Ohio State University? The horror. The white-trash-laden, meth-lab-y horror.

Also, LOFD's difficulties in finding a romantic partner in his socioeconomic class clearly belies his not belonging to a country club. QED not a Julian's American.

For shame walky, stereotyping all straight people like that

your comment just made me think about Chris F dancing with Patrick S.  I think bowties are are pretty lame...but one on a male stripper I feel ...is the only appropriate place.

I'm in the know about twinks, twunks, chickens, Kathoeys, Circuit boys, Bear and Cubs, Gnerds, SuburbiGays, Gaylisters, Show Queens Vs Drama Queens,  Accountants, Art Teachers, Football players, Internet trolls, Dads, Priests, Heavy Metal Lead Singers, Republicans ...jez they are everywhere!

I also like making a mockery of this boogaloo topic

but feel free to go on painting me as gaynorant

It is little consolation now, but one day I will discuss that game with another Michigan fan, and it will be a source of perverse pride that I did the entire day leading up to the game, the game itself, and three hours afterwards completely sober. No, she does not have a blank space, gents

When murmurs made their way around social media that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris had broken up, both camps quickly moved to silence the rumor.

After Radar Online reported the musical duo had split up after Harris supposedly received a risqué massage, Harris took to Twitter to deny the claims. Swift?s publicist, Tree Paine, also posted a tweet saying Radar?s report was untrue. While Swift herself has not weighed in on social media, People reports that a source close to the couple says the rumor is ?absolutely not true? and pointed out that Harris has been favoriting Swift?s activities on Twitter and Instagram in recent days.

I do not know what a boogaloo is, acoustic or electric, so i never know what to post here.
Electric Boogaloo is an homage to this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breakin%27_2:_Electric_Boogaloo).
Yeah like anyone Julian's America would struggle to stop the demolition of a community recreation center by a developer who wants to build a shopping mall
(plot of said movie)

I meant more the way tagging sequels as "(original title) II: Electric Boogaloo" has become a tongue-in-cheek way of acknowledging the sequel is going to be formulaic and probably unwanted.

Sooo, no parking discussions here?

Which, by the way, I was wondering if there would be paid parking at the Worlds Fair, or if it would be free.  If they're really talking about churning 250 people every hour, parking is going to be a ferocious nightmare.  I didn't see anywhere to purchase parking.  Seth, please hope us!

I'm not sure what thread to post this in, but this one seems like as good of an option as any (and it's not really worthy of its own thread).

So we have one "homeless" woman in our neighborhood. She is "homeless", but always weather-appropriately dressed. With an umbrella. With winter gear, With summer gear. With seemingly different clean clothes every time we see her.  Sometimes with nicer clothes than I'm wearing.

We see her with her little "homeless please help" sign near the vehicle exit next to Whole Foods at our local stripmall. She's there only when the weather is not too warm or not too cold.

One time I saw her in Giant and she had a grocery cart full of paid for groceries, enough to feed multiple people. She was telling the woman she was with that "they better not say such and such to my son".

My daughter goes to a summer camp that makes use of a neighborhood pool that's part of a townhouse community (I think). I'm pretty sure you'd either have to be a paying community pool member or a townhouse community member to use the pool...anyway...my daughter saw the "homeless" woman hanging out at the pool.

There is no point to this story, I just thought I'd share.

We had a pretty fair kerfuffle a few years back in RVA when the Times-Dispatch did an interview with a fake homeless person who admitted he cleared $13+ an hour panhandling.

Like a lot of places in the Midwest, Michigan is two parts: liberal colleges and big cities, and the rest of the state is Kentucky. Lots of Trump-y, militia, "my America is being stolen away from me" loons up there. And yet the state leans pretty "blue" overall.

The poorer residents of JA now have a new option to fly (since they can't afford their own private jet)

?The Residence? can accommodate one or two people. It is 12 square meters and consists of three rooms: the bedroom, the dining room and the washroom, complete with private shower and toilet. Before you board, personalized music, movies and games will be preloaded onto the apartment?s devices. A made-to-order menu and wine list will also be prepared to suit your tastes. At the airport, a Savoy Hotel-trained (read: fancy-as-f***) butler will welcome you to arrange your preflight meals, drinks and spa treatments in the first class lounge. This butler will stay with you throughout the flight to tend to your needs.

That mentions a butler attending to your needs and this brings me back to something I've been thinking about for a while: for people in a budget crunch, what are your most essential servants? For me, it's:

(1) Butler
(2) Chauffeur
(3) Chef
(4t) Sommelier
(4t) Mixologist
(6) Announcer/Crier
(7) Valet
(eight) Footman
(9) Jester
(10) Groomsman
(11) Horse Trainer
(12) Underbutler

I mean, if you just HAVE to cut personal staff to 12 people, that's the 12 you really need.

Crier is so underrated. Yes, I suppose the nouveau riche can have the Butler announce guests but you really want that booming, regal voice announcing your guests when they enter the parlor. A trianed voice guy - a Goulet or Buffer - really adds to the ambiance.

Sweets, just read this (http://mgoblog.com/content/story-2016-no-dress-rehearsal) and thought you would enjoy it. It is, ostensibly, a preview of Michigan's 2016 football team but it is, in actuality, 90% about the experience of growing up across the border from Canada and the Tragically Hip. I think most people who gre up near metro-Detroit agree with the sentiment that we all feel "100% American and somehow also 30% Canadian".

loved it.  the author's 30% canadian came shining through, because those vignettes of how the Hip once intertwined with his life is exactly why a third of the country watched that last concert.

aside: "No Dress Rehearsal" is a line from the Hip's "Ahead by a Century", which, aside-to-the-aside, was the last song of the concert.  it's been a popular line to use (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/siobhan-kukolic/the-tragically-hip-remind_b_11695578.html)...

I took an Enneagram for work and I came solidly in the thinking category nowhere near the feeling side.  I was solidly Loyal Skeptic with a Wing of Enthusiastic Visionary, though some argued Quiet Specialist was more appropriate Wing.  No one argued that I should have been labeled in the feeling center or anywhere near it.

Since this thread is out on loan...

From the neighborhood listserv:

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT leave your dog poop inside other people's trash cans. It is very rude. I brought our trash cans back up to the house this morning right after the trash trucks came by, so I know that they were empty when I left for work. When I came home tonight, though, there was a bag of dog poop in one of our cans. It's especially frustrating that someone would do this right after the weekly trash pick-up and on a day when it is 90 degrees outside. Plus, this person clearly walked all the way up to the top of our driveway, which is on a steep hill, to get to our trash can since it wasn't even on the street. I realize that most of you are considerate neighbors, so I'm sorry to send this to the entire list serve. But I don't know who the culprit is and I'm not sure how else to get this message across since this isn't the first (or even second) time this has happened.

Oh, I just thought that this was a pressing issue in Julian's America that would resonate with the readership. There's been subsequent messages suggesting that outsiders are coming into the neighborhood and leaving their, um, canine castings in our pristine receptacles.  And a call for additional security cameras to identify the scofflaws and shame them into compliance.

We have people who dispose of our pets poops. Also we've genetically modified many of our pets to not poop. But honestly, I'm not supposed to talk about that technology around "normies." I've probably said too much already.

I see you're spreading your gospel on CraigsList as well

Public Service Announcement for Men

Gentlemen, it's bad enough that we're seeking female companionship on what amounts to the clearance sale rack of the online dating realm.

Single women in the Craigslist personals who are between 25&45 years old and not fat (not slender or athletic - just NOT fat) need to be put on the endangered species list.

It's a crisis of epic proportions.

The pandemic of fat women on Craigslist (and North America on a whole) has thrown the dating ecosystem severely out of balance.

As it stands, men are competing so fiercely for non-fat women that even women with unsightly physiognomy -but a non-fat body- are trophies.

Fat women on Craigslist looking to land an alpha male have never had more of an incentive to lose weight than right now.

A healthy dating ecosystem needs a relative balance of fat women, non-fat women, alpha males, beta males, and losers (yes -losers, because losers prevent women from taking beta males for granted) to keep the dating market in check.

A preponderance of fat women leads to said women -in the aggregate- trying to procure men that are beyond their market value, because they know most men will have few to no options.

To wit; the plethora of adipose women on Craigslist who list tall, handsome, FIT (the unmitigated gall!) and established as a requisite to contacting them.

If these pachyderms applied their delusion offline, they would be summarily laughed off the face of the planet.

Conversely, a dearth of non-fat women leads to said women virtually all trying to land an alpha male, because they know that as a limited-supply high-demand demographic, they can market themselves at a premium - irrespective of physiognomy.

To wit; the absence of non-fat women on the Craigslist personals - with the exception of escorts, who descend en masse due to the very large, and thus very lucrative makrket of men who are absolutely starving for non-fat women.

The biggest winners (figuratively and literally) in this imbalanced ecosystem are fat women; this is due to the large pool of quality beta males who would otherwise prefer to date non-fat women, but now have no choice but to hunt the game that they are surrounded by. That being Mammuthus subplanifrons.

Conversely, the biggest losers in this imbalanced ecosystem are.....well, losers; because in a healthy dating market, losers have no choice but fatties.

However, in a market where fatties run the show, losers have no choice - because their natural prey now do.

Barring a miraculous influx of non-fat (preferably slender or athletic with attractive physiognomy) women, the men on Craigslist will be at the mercy of a BBW dynasty for generations to come.

Maybe this goes better here.

A question to the board:

I recently discovered that my credit card's reward program allows you to trade points for concert tickets.  There's a disclaimer that you're "purchasing" tickets with points through a reseller, and are "paying" more points than actual face value.  Most of the listed shows are not sold out, and I could pay actual face value money (plus fees) for actual tickets.  Is it better to trade virtual money for actual tickets that essentially cost me nothing but virtually cost me more than I would or should have to pay, or do I pay actual money (plus fees) and save my virtual points for I have no idea whatever else you can get for points?
Title: Re: Julian's America II: Electric Boogaloo
Post by: Julian, Semi-Retired WUNDERKIND on November 07, 2016, 04:35:29 pm
The answer to your question is dependent on what else you can use your points on and does it have a similar "markup" on other rewards purchases or solely on tickets.

That said, I fail to understand how CC reward points fall under the Julian's America purview as we would simply call our personal spending concierge that comes with our AmEx Blacks and get them to explain this to us.

Yes, I did.  I was assuming I would be drinking more than one, but the bar boy poured heavy, in what I assume was an attempt to get in my pants.  So one was enough for a little ole light weight like me.

That is a mockup of an "edgy" rebranding strategy that was getting bandied about by my social media team. We decided a year would never adequately sum up my influence and anything short of an era was excessively underselling the Julian brand. Those promotional materials were not meant to be released for public consumption, but apparently someone decided to make a few bucks off my fans and sold them. Whaddaya gonna do?

I will unload the domain for $2500 if you're interested.

The Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control is excited to announce its upcoming lottery for Patrón en Lalique, an extremely rare and luxurious product. Patrón tequila, one of the world's highest quality spirits, and Lalique, master French crystal maker, have come together to introduce a first-of-its-kind exclusive collaboration, Patrón en Lalique: Serie 1. This special series is limited to 500 bottles worldwide and Montgomery County has been able to procure one of these rare bottles.

To make the purchasing process as fair as possible, we have decided to offer a lottery for our single bottle of Patrón en Lalique (priced at $6,799.99) --the lottery opens today and concludes on Tuesday, October 10th.

Meh... that place sucks anyway. It will never happen due to the rent down there, but it would be nice if there was just a "bar" vs. all this fancy shit. My favorite place to get a beer is the little outdoor spot near the fire pits.
