presale at 10 AM tomorrow - anybody know the password?!
i wanna see the misfits!

They are playing at Jaxx in about two weeks. And I doubt the tickets are more than twenty bucks.

The Misfits were, without a doubt, my favorite band from age 14 to 17. And to this day I still dig them......at the core of all the silliness that was the Misfits there were actually some really great tunes.
But where in the hell does this currrent incarnation get off calling themselves the Misfits?

my girlfriend, who is almost 30, still..to this day claims that the other Misfits wore out Glenn and Eerie Von and they left the band.

Eerie was never in the band really....more of a hanger on who may have played on a track or two that was never even released until years and years later on a box set.
He was in Glenn's next band, Samhain, though. And yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Glenn's decision to just disolve the Misfits.

you are right. my wording was confusing, and incorrect. I meant to write that the misfits wore him out and he left the band with Eerie Von. something like that.
point is...she thinks Glenn was NOT the driving force behind them...i think he was. we argue about it often.

whats the pit like at merriweather? everytime i go i always end up with lawn seats, but now im deciding on whether to go pavillion or pit, but if pit isnt that great im not going to spend the extra 50 bucks... so i would just like some input is all

the pit is cool if you wanna be up front. the shows i have seen from there, its not like "the pit" like some big mosh pit (some people dont realize PIT refers to Orchestra Pit and think its some crazy madness!)
i like it for shows when theres assigned seating in the Pavilion. but for HFS the pavilion is GA too. you'll have a place to sit and you can get out of any possible bad weather....if i was going, i'd just get pavilion.

yea, it is cheaper and is still pretty close...the question is should i buy now or should i wait until saturday and see if there is still pavillion left. im assuming there will still be pavillion on saturday, but who knows. it just sucks the seats are so damn expensive

Does the HFStival still offer a mist tent where you can pack yourself in with frenzied, wet, bikini-topped girls? 'Cause that's really the only thing it had going for it as far as I recall....

I pretty much hate all festival type events....just not my thing at all. This one sounds particularly terrible. I'd go if someone paid me around $300 - $500, depending on how I felt and what my options/responsibilities happened to be for that day.
How much would you have to be paid to attend this piece of crap of a show?

You wouldn't have to pay me, but it would have to be free, I'd have reserved seats in the pit, unlimited free drinks, transportation, and I'd reserve the right to be able to smack anybody that annoyed me.

i think all concerts should be this way :D
the reason counting crows are playing hfstival is because they owe their career in part to hfs for playing them first... Adam D. was born in Bawlmer and had contacts at hfs which resulted in early airplay for the band...

anyone who worked at HFS when Counting Crows got early air play no longer works as at WHFS....I have a feeling that most of the bands booked this year were booked on a corporate level...

so its two days before tickets go on sale to the public... and still they only have 32/60 bands announced. so when do they plan on unveiling the other 28?
