Kiss
Queen
I'll go Buckley.
nope, saw his at the original 9:30 Club.
Nope, saw them at Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, NY as a teen.
Queen
You probably have a list somewhere of all the concerts I've ever mentioned attending. ;)
Queen it is indeed. Other than Johnny Cash, Queen is probably the band I would have chosen to see over any of the other bands on that list. I remember them playing for about six bucks when I was a young teen, and my parents didn't let me go, still sad about it. (finally when Ozzy came to town, they allowed me to go to my first show).
Also, saw Soundgarden open for Living Colour at the QE2 Club in Albany, NY 1988(?).
You're up.
Iron Maiden
Iron Butterfly
Black Uhuru
Megadeth
The Rolling Stones
Circle Jerks
Wang Chung
Yngwie Malmsteen
Vinnie Vincent Invasion
Molly Hatchet

Thanks for jarring some nice memories from the cobwebs. ^ The site of my first Dead show (1979) and I haven't been the same since...
Iron Butterfly?
I'll go with The Stones.
Wang Chung?
Did you take their advice and wang chung that night?Wang Chung?
First concert ever. They opened up for the Cars at MPP.
Circle Jerks?
So I'll guess Megadeth.
We're running out of people who care to guess so I'll go a second time: Maiden?

Ding! Ding! Ding!
AWKSaw him at a radio station festival and a second time on Warped Tour.
I have no idea, but I'm going to guess Lauryn Hill. She was the person on my wife's list who was a lie, so maybe she is for you as well. She also had Megadeth on her list, seems weird to me that the first two people to play the game both had an overlap artist with my wife.Saw her at the Maymont Jazz Festival a few years back.
I think we can rule out William Hung from the very beginning.Saw him at a chili cook off. He played She Bangs and Rocket Man and then informed us Fuel was up next.

So, wait, we aren't finishing off my list? I guess rules just don't count anymore. This certainly isn't Julian's America.

I think your list was too terrible for boardies to even participate.
Turbonegro just doesn't seem very Julian...Opened for Zwan/QOTSA in 03. Towson center was the closest show to you folks IIRC.
I went with it another way. I've seen a ton of great bands. Instead of bragging I picked 9 of the most WTF or off the wall things I've seen as a change of pace. So, wait, we aren't finishing off my list? I guess rules just don't count anymore. This certainly isn't Julian's America.

Oh Julian, I like your garbage list.Sadly, it is not The Weeknd. Saw his 2nd or 3rd American show, at the 9:30 club, actually. People forget how much sooner he broke in the indie/pitchfork world than the r&b/urban music world. I heard House of Balloons at so many house parties for a solid six months. Sort of was the last ever "house parties" I ever went to. In some weird ways, that concert was the end of an era. I felt old and wanted to go to bed at a reasonable hour after that.
Is it The Weekend?
Given that you were the moderator of hfstival.com I think Cranberries and Marcy Playground are givens. Hilary Duff seems like your cup of tea. That leaves Yellowcard and K Fed. Yellowcard is the type of crappy band that played some Richmond radio festival, so I'll go with K. Fed.Your logic is impeccable and I respect the thought you put into this. Nope. Saw K fed. $13. Have a ticket stub if anyone needs a photo.
Can we get moar deets on Jules moderating the HFS site? LOL.This is well known and has been discussed at length if you care to search. I famously stoked a fight over nothing between the two communities and got the HFS kiddies to register a ton of accounts on here and flood the place with the Canterbury Tales.

I did this because it amused me.
In retrospect, I am very good at manipulating groups from the shadows through ad hominem and incendiary propaganda. I should probably get into espionage. I would be an awesome turncoat.the trump team is looking for people with experience like this!
Look, if the Agency is hiring, I have a lot of ideas on how we can manipulate the masses in South and Central American countries to overthrow their governments. And not just ideas we've used in the past: new ones.In retrospect, I am very good at manipulating groups from the shadows through ad hominem and incendiary propaganda. I should probably get into espionage. I would be an awesome turncoat.the trump team is looking for people with experience like this!
Also, went to both MC@HFS and Cranberry smoosh at the Washington Monument.
But did I go the year yellow card played? Someone will have to guess!
We should play this game again sometime.
Of course Challenged won't be able to think of a single band he hasn't seen.

I feel like either Peter, Paul, and Mary existed longer than I have my head they did or you didn't see them.
I'm 500% sure you've seen Weird Al. That's as on-brand as possible.
I saw PPM in 89, 91 and 92, all at Wolf Trap.Oh, I was way off. I did not think that group still existed in the early-90s.

Big Audio Dynamite and the Ramones are the only two I've seen on that list. At the same upstate NY metal venue (reminiscent of Jaxx) where I saw Iggy Pop and Fugazi. But I digress.

A little obvious is probably good for the game imo because otherwise it's pretty random when it's strangers who have seen lots of bands...however that one may have been too obvious. ;D
before this drops off page one.. the band i haven't seen is The Chameleons (UK)
and the tale is they were touring with The Might Lemon Drops who I was well into at the time.. TMLD played a great set, but then because this was in the days when headlining bands often didn't start until late and then play until the 2am curfew, me and my buddy waited patiently for The Chameleons to come on... it turned 1am on a weekday and with no sign of them hitting the stage, we bailed...
