Ok bordies, time to rally and get something done that will have an impact for generations
well, not really, but hopefully we get some good posts out of it
Deadline is coming up fast
Tuesday 6/25
After carving out their own place in pop music history more than three decades ago, the New Kids continue their lengthy legacy with "The Mixtape Tour" featuring guests Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Naughty by Nature, and Salt-N-Pepa
I think we need to set a few rules
1. We need a play by play....even prep work to go through the catalog and give Ernest reviews (you know like Ernest P. Worrell would do)
2. I think an Instagram account should be set up, you can feel free to keep your face out of it, but we need some interaction with the hardcore nktob fans. Would be great if you made up some backstory of how you were alternate for the band, but you blew your knee out and then picked up a nasty heroin habit and they kicked you out. I mean if we could get some video of these interactions....well I might just cream in my pants.
3. Arrive early...hang out with the fans...stalk the tour busses
I'd be happy to procure the ticket and get funds from bordies, but I just need a commitment on dollar amount and then you can venmo to pay me back (space may need to use Western Union as he doesn't have a smart phone, who am I kidding Space won't chip in)

feel free to suggest ground rules (and spelling or grammar corrections)
Oh yeah, NKOTB requested that we pay for one stadium beer
I think we should budget 3 giant stadium beers ($40?) as we want to get some good commentary
So far Sweets and Jules have stepped up...I'd say putting this in the 300-400 level tickets and beer
if we can get maybe another $75-100...we can get him in the 200 level
$200....he's on the floor!

Actually I use paypal more, but the kids today like venmo and was trying to be hip (failing miserably...but very on brand)

It has crashed...I'll be out of town. What burns me worse is I'm on this one because my work enemy is on PTO. That's salt in the wound, and for some reason, my boss didn't think seeing a boy band on someone else's dime was a good enough excuse to skip out on meetings.
I actually spent time listening to some NKOTB and Debbie Gibson this weekend to prepare. Couldn't believe I knew as many songs as I did. I'm legit bummed.

I left from NYC to vacation, so I'm only back now but I gotta say...Facebook was FULL of folks that went to this show (and apparently have been hitting the tour along the east coast) and man, it hurt.
