Seconded Tom Waits, which feels prescient as prior to reading this I posted an ad looking for people interested in doing a Tom Waits cover/tribute band. My thought is that If he's not going to tour, wouldn't it make niche financial sense as a group of musicians to fill an otherwise unfillable void? I am aware that it would be impossible to fill the personality role, but musically, I'm sure that there are some that would like to see/hear selected cuts performed live. Maybe I'm just a rapidly aging wannabe hipster (a world that quickly fell out of fashion somewhere along the timeline of the aughts).

Also, I'll probably never convince myself to see Springsteen for the cost of a ticket. This is despite the fact that my wife did convince me that it was worth spending, what in my mind was an obscene amount to see the geriatric Stones. Having done that I will say it was arguably worth it considering she actually really enjoyed the show (I had fun as well). I'm not a huge fan, but the songs that I do like, I really like. I would like to hear anyone's argument that Born to Run is anything less than genuinely anthemic.

Bummed that I never saw/will never see Sonic Youth.
I'll probably never convince myself to see Wilco (I assume they would mostly play ok newer tracks, one or two songs from Being There and nothing from AM).

I still mentally kick myself for missing Paul Westerberg in the early/mid 2000s and thinking that I would get a chance to see The Replacements at somewhere better than Echostage.

I would like to see The Libertines.

I recommend going to one Bruce Springsteen show and one Wilco show.  What's the worst that would happen?
Sorry you missed out on the PW and better Replacements shows.

I may see Rod Stewart, but that will depend upon whether folks dump tickets on the day of show. Pavillion tix are way to costly.

Tougher question than I thought. The mention of the Replacements at Echostage made me realize my biggest regret is not seeing artists in their prime. A lot of aging artists or reunited bands are fun to watch but hardly the version I really want to see.

That Replacements show was dull. And even if Westerberg toured again it would be nothing like the shows he played at the old 930 back in 92 or so.

Are you taking your mom, and singing along with (covering Alphaville) "Forever Young" together?

Apologies if your mom isn't with us anymore. This totally seems like an intergenerational family show possibility for the 40+ crowd and their parents.

no, man that would have been a blast
Honestly, could never get into the rollins band

I did see flag with Keith fronting a bunch of songs....was fun but also kinda meh
but Henry at the mic stand dong BF songs would be awesome

Yeah had no idea in 2003 the Rollins band did a Rise above tour!
no one updated setlist.fm with the 930 show
but I'm sure it was similar to this https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/rollins-band/2003/the-fillmore-san-francisco-ca-3bf488a8.html

Saw FLAG and thought that rocked, but a live show like that is so my wheel house that they would've really needed to shit the bed for me not to love it.  The Rollins/Rise Above show was killer.  Can't recall the setlist but I have to assume it was exactly what you linked to.  Can't for the life of me remember why they toured that way (maybe that West Memphis 3 benefit album?) but I do recall his band at the time Mother Superior opening the show and talking about how ROllins backing band was their favorite

I just feel like I never will. They only play enormodomes. It costs a billion dollars to get good seats. They haven’t had a good album in a decade. In theory, I’d love to see them again — they’re one of the best bands of my lifetime — but in practice, no I will probably not schlep to Philly to see them play a bunch of King of Limbs songs.

i guess this just as good a jumping point as any:

"Radiohead.com has always been a) infuriatingly uninformative and b) surprising. The most surprising thing to do next, therefore, is to suddenly become incredibly informative. So that is what we have done.

We present: the RADIOHEAD PUBLIC LIBRARY (https://www.radiohead.com/library), an online resource containing everything we have ever done... well, more or less. Videos, music, artwork, websites, merchandise, and assorted ephemera."

pretty much what is says on the tin: online content organized by album (use colored squares at top right to jump between albums).

EDIT: from NME, 10 things in the new Radiohead Public Library that are getting fans very, very excited (https://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/10-things-in-the-new-radiohead-public-library-that-are-getting-fans-very-very-excited-2598994)

I'm grateful I got to at least see that one...

It's hard to think of any current artists I haven't seen but still perform. I guess I'd like to see the current Misfits thing. Neil Young. The House of Love (whichever lineup Guy Chadwick is putting together). David Byrne. Hole (sounds like the classic lineup is rehearsing).

Bands I wish I could see if I could time travel: Joy Division, Husker Du, the Doors, Bryan Jones-era Stones, Motorhead (no Sleep Til Hammersmith era), The B-52's with Ricky Wilson (Wild Planet era), Pylon, the Gun Club, the Cramps, Minor Threat, Black Flag w/Chuck Biscuits on drums, Circle Jerks w/Chuck Biscuits or Lucky Lehrer, the Jam, Bowie circa Station to Station, the Who circa Tommy, Big Black, the Smiths, the Fall.

Bands I'm glad that I saw while I could: The Stooges, Red House Painters (when Gorden Mack was still on guitar), Cocteau Twins, Galaxie 500, Heatmiser, Elliott Smith, Nirvana, Lou Reed, Material Issue, Lush, INXS, the Germs (okay, Darby wasn't there, but that show was still insane and incredible), the Buzzcocks, Beastie Boys, the Ramones, George Michael, RUN DMC, Grant Hart, AC/DC (though I guess a version of them will be touring soon), Rush, Soft Cell.

Sucks kosmo... Every Ten club member I know scored tickets but the general onsale was a bloodbath.

I'm sure they'll do a massive tour this fall... Not that tickets would be any eaiser but two east coast dates with one of them being in a tiny arena doesn't make for easy tickets.

Kate Bush

Wait no longer.

Filmed by the UK's Granada Television channel in April 1979 and originally intended for broadcast as part of the 'On The Road' tv series, this concert was performed as part of Kate Bush's Tour Of Life. However, due to live technical problems at the time and some flaws in the performance, the video tapes were archived and remained unbroadcast for the next 40 years until their discovery in 2019.

This is the complete show. It includes raw and unedited camera angles, backstage chat between technicians, band members and Kate Bush herself.
