Title: The greatest week in rock history

I know that I might romantacize the good old days of classic rock more than most, but I thought this was a cool story (http://www.salon.com/ent/feature/2003/12/19/rock/index_np.html) from salon that you all might enjoy.

I think it's all relative.  Anyways, you seem to have a pretty good handle on finding out info on bands most of this board has never heard of.  So you must be clued into something pretty good.
 
 Word of mouth can sometimes be the best method.
