If you're even the least bit interested in what happeneed to get the current DC indie/alternative scene started - back in 1976-80 period - then come to the 9:30 on Saturday, January 12th at 8:00 for a 6-band-for-$12 night of historical significance, no shit! NOT an 'oldies show' by any stretch, these bands and players are - for the most part - among those who gave us what we have today in DC as far as local music goes and are STILL DOIN' IT. This is pre-Dischord stuff, and DAMN good. Get there early so you don't miss The New Standard, with founding member of The Penetrators (1977-80) on guitar/vocals...
