There's a composer, Glenn Branca, that used to have 20 guitarists bash away on their guitars strung with steel wire instead of normal guitar strings.  That would have been pretty cool.

Trail of Dead would be fun to play with.

have you ever listened to any of his "symphonies"?  I have been tempted but ended up not taking the time to find any, aren't some of the early recordings being reissued?

I have some of his early work when he was in rock bands that's more no wavey stuff.  There's a symphonic orchestral piece of his called "The World Upside Down" that's great.  I don't own any of the reissues.  I should check them out though because both Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore are on his first one, "The Ascension".

The Ascension is absolutely brilliant.  Check it out.

And for the record, I'd be in the Stooges circa 1970, or the Meat Puppets circa 1982.

Since I may get boring with the Pogues (I would spend one week touring with them after the release of If I should Fall...) and the Waterboys (one week touring with them during the Fisherman Blues years), I may have to choose Midnight Oil when they did that movie touring with the Warumpi Band around indigenous areas in Australia.

From what I know, without hearing it, it just seems like it would be one of the most inaccesible albums ever, am I wrong?
