Best Show you've ever seen at Iota

Wow, so many to choose from...

In no particular order, I'd have to go with...

Robbie Fulks (the time he did the Egg Song)
Slobberbone (second and most recent time)
 Pernice Brothers
 Jason and the Scorchers

So many to choose from... but the best was definitely James Mercer (the Shins), Sam Beam (Iron & Wine), and Rosie Thomas.  Hearing James and Sam sing together on each other's songs was unforgettable.

Other good Iota shows were Lizzie West and The Waifs, Hem, Damien Rice.  Gosh, I haven't been there in such a long time.

Was that the Robyn Hitchcock/Grant Lee Philips duet show I saw there?  That was pretty good- I liked when they stopped playing to just dance insanely on the stage

Yes, though I wasn't there. Have heard a number of times that that was a great show.
I was at a different Grant Lee Phillips show at Iota prior to that which was quite good.

Another band that has put on great shows at Iota in the past is the Bottle Rockets. I'm hoping they return to form with their new album.

John Wesley Harding - 2000(?)

Chris Whitley can take credit for putting on one of the best (2000) and definitely the worst (2002).
