It cracks me up when you walk in the pharmacy with your prescription and they say...."when can you pick it up?" It takes 20 seconds to walk to the friggin shelf and put the shit in the bag.
 
 Whenever they ask me that I always get the urge to collapse on the floor holding my chest while gasping "now, n, n......aarrrrgh"

I'm sure it's probably all the damned paperwork involving the legalities and payment issues that takes all the time. Besides, the only people who can afford prescription drugs are those who have some sort of insurance or are subsidised somehow...and you know they love to punish you with paper work. Throw in all the excessive paper work that the government requires, they probably do more paper work than filling of drugs.
