Did  anyone go to this?  I very much wanted to, but knew I'd likely have to get there very early and couldn't get out of work at the right time.

I've seen him before, at Borders. AS I recall, he was a bit boring and we may have left before he was done...but then again I think his writing has pretty much gone from inoffensive and cutesy early on to downright lame with How To be Good and the aptly titled Long Way Down...so maybe I'm not the right person to comment if you're looking for accolades.

I went.  It was pretty crowded.  Hornby was a pretty nice guy.  His fiction has gone from very good to ok.  I'm in the middle of the new one, which is supposed to be a Young Adult book and it's good for that.  I do really enjoy his Believer columns about reading.

I kind of liked it, but nowhere near as much as his others that I've read.

Well, I finished it but it was bad.  And I din't care for How to be Good either.
