mcr are a bit of guilty pleasure and seeing as it's unlike i'll able to see them from the safety of the 9:30 dj booth anytime soon, i can probably find a fairly safe viewing spot for them at merriweather...

i hear that...that record is surprisingly good...because I really wanted to hate it, but I didn't.
 
 i saw them at SxSw at Emo's.  super high energy, but the whole emo-schtick on stage gets old.  i kind of want the dude to actually sing his lyrics, rather than putting the microphone in the face of screaming teenage girls who think he's god's gift.
