PDA's?
« on: December 29, 2003, 10:46:00 am »
What's the best one on the market at the moment for under $200?

My HP just crapped out on me so looking for a new one, I don't need fancy crap on it....just the basics like the Palm21 or whatever it's called, but then I saw the Sony clio or something like that..

Any input before I shell out my hard earned cashola is greatly appreciated.

I just got my honey the Palm Tungsten E for xmas - $199. Too early to tell exactly how good it is but it looks great and has a nice color screen and got generally good reviews at the websites I looked at. One thing that pissed me off a little is that all the reviews said it could play mp3s (which it technically can). But it seems that to actually play em you need a $100 expansion pack and the card only holds 64mb of music - I'd been hoping to put a 256mb card in there.

i asked my tech guys here and several recommended a sony clio if you dont' need anything way fancy. handspring visors are good if you don't want a color screen too. stay away from the combined pda/cell phones though, while they work, the technology to make them really functional just isn't there yet. give it a couple more years.
