HEY.  i want to go to a show here.  but i've never been.
 whoever has been can maybe answer some questions before i attack my mother...
 
 - around what time do their (weekend) shows usually end at?
 - is it in a nice area?
 - is it accessible by any form of public transportation?

Its about a block north of the Inner Harbor.
 
 Tons of cabs as it is at Power Plant Live, where there are a number of other college-ish age bars.  Light Rail is not really an option when the show lets out.  The only other choice is to cab it to Penn Station about 2 miles north and take a train back to DC.
 
 Weekend shows (assuming its not designated "late") are out by midnight.  Otherwise, it may be 1 or 2 AM.

well, i work there, as you may know
 
  1) weekend shows can vary greatly. i wouldnt say they usually end by midnight. midnight would be the earliest (i wish they ended earlier!) they are usually done by 1am though.
 
  2) its a perfectly fine area. its a bunch of drunk college kids (and therefore tons of cops everywhere).
 
  3.) no. not near any public transit. well, its close to metro (about 3 blocks to Shot Tower) but if you're coming from DC thats not going to help.
   other than that, Judge Alito is right, train from Penn Station.  but theres many parking garages nearby if you have a car.
