chiarOscuro is a unique nightclub experience featuring alternative dance
music spun on two dancefloors by a rotating lineup of 12 diverse local and
national deejays every Saturday night at the Edge Nightclub in Washington DC.

This Saturday chiarOscuro is proud to welcome, to the main stage, The
Opposite Sex (
http://www.oppositesexmusic.com) The Opposite Sex was formulated by veteran D.C. musicians to create a unique, energetic, live performance. Displaying interactive visuals as they perform, the Opposite Sex weave an environment that focuses importance on sight and sound equally. Visuals, which range from sublime to shocking, are provided by Line Of Sight Films and provide a backdrop to the band's maniacal intensity.Â
The Opposite Sex sound incorporates both acoustic and electronic drums, sparse keyboards/guitars, and melodic bass lines. The band's influences include; The Cure, Bowie, Peter Murphy, Joy Division and Killing Joke.
Guest DJ Steve EP of FYM Productions
DJ Steve E P is founder and co-owner of FYM Productions, the DC-BASED event promotion company. Steve E P and FYM Productions, in addition to having the largest Depeche Mode Party on the East Coast, are responsible for the creation of Cryfest:The Cure vs. The Smiths dance parties, The New Wave Anti-Prom, 6 Degrees of Bauhaus, Retro-DJ Extravaganza, and Eighties Mayhem.

(hours: 11pm-2:30am) where you can relax in our comfortable couches and
play cards or take in a game of chess to a more diverse musical selection
at conversational volumes, home to special showcase events check the
chiarOscuro calendar. Our patio opens at 11pm so that you may enjoy
the fresh air and during the warmer months, a bar and manned DJ booth!
