Job Web Sites
« on: July 16, 2007, 09:11:00 am »
I recently quit my job, and after a few months of freelance I will need to find another job.   What are the best job sites these days, I haven't had to look for 6 years.  The big ones can't still be Monster, Careerbuilder, etc are they?  Any more recent sites people might suggest? This would be for Tech jobs (web).

 craig's list

the first two are job aggregators.

I haven't used it to look for a job, but my company posted an ad on craigslist and got many responses/resumes.

I found my current job on Craig's List.  My boss at my last job had asked me to put an ad there cuz we needed to hire someone so there I was posting an ad and saw another ad and thought "well that looks interesting".

I had my resume up on monster and that's how I got my last job...company found me and called me up.

Try http://www.portland.computerjobs.com/ - They have about 70 listing for e-commerce/web jobs right now.

Yeah it was a shocker to me too.  I was really desperate at the time, working on a ship that was rapidly sinking....VERY timely.

Pollard...I found my job through Portland's Craig's List.

What in the web field are you looking to do? I work at an interactive agency...

Anyone know of any good music industry job sites? I'm familiar with the velvet rope and the UTA job list.

The one that my  undergrad degree is in. Remember the school that offered a course on lil kim-that's my alma mater.

Actually the job I am applying for today is with a performing rights org.  PRO's will always be around.

Thanks. I actually applied for a position with SE a few days ago-it's perfect and even in LA where I plan to eventually move.
