Which Versus is it that is playing at the 930 on Friday?  Is it Versus from New York that had some albums on Teenbeat and Caroline or is it one of the other bands called Versus?  I know there are several...

I don't know any other Versus, but I do know it's not the one with the characteristics you've described, they no longer play as a group though I don't think they've officially disbanded completely.  Plus Minus are the remnants that tour the most often.

This VersusDC is a local latin rock band

The last time I heard that the Teenbeat Versus played was a couple years back with a reunited Tuscadero for a Teenbeat show at the Black Cat. It was glorious.

Yep, that was the last time, and unfortunately it's starting to look like the LAST time.

I wasn't very familiar with them at the time, but they were the highlight of that Teenbeat show.  They  blew everyone away.

Versus is/was my alltime favorite band, so you can see why my eye brows went up.  Richard was in a band called Whysall Lane in California for a few years, they put out one record.  It's pretty good, but Versus is better.  Supposedly Richard moved back to New York recently.  As far as I know, the band "split" because he moved.  All the other members are still in New York I think.  Maybe they will get back together...  Who knows.  I like +/- but Versus is so much better.
