So when they pardon the thanksgiving turkey at the White House, what do they eat instead?  Kill another turkey in its place?

PETA had a good ad in the City Paper last week where the "pardoned" turkey was asking what, exactly, he was being pardoned of, with a goofy looking picture of Bush in the corner. I got a kick out of it. I hate that whole "pardoning the turkey" tradition.

There's no way a card carrying NRA member redneck like dubya pardoned the turkey...he got his bushman rifle out, let the turkey run round the rose garden and BLAMM! Blew it's bloody head off.

Rumor has it you can find some  bumper stickers in Takoma Park sporting the saying, "Save the turkeys, eat Bush".

Hey Mankie, what's on the vegetarian Thanksgiving menu at your house? OR do Brits abstain from celebrating?

No word of a lie...my Thanksgiving tradition is to clean the gutters on the house ready for winter...it started when I was a loner with no one to hang out with so Thanksgiving just became a day off. I just like to keep that tradition going now. It's a totally boring day really, so Blockbuster gets a visit.

It is a great day for biking.  The smells in the air from all the cooking is great.  Usually a crisp day, and no one out on the roads or trails.  Just like my christmas tradition of skiing.
