actually, that rawked.
there were a few dips in the flow, but overall it was a ton of fun. boots riley totally delivered, as did outernational and (insert name of local two-man rap outfit whose name escapes me at the moment). wayne kramer's acoustic set was weird, but fun. the u-liners didn't do much for me. the last 30-40 minutes, where the show went electric, was worth several times the $10 cover. kick out the jams? morello's solo where he pulled out the jack cord and touched it to the pickups, making all manner of weird noises? awesome. even though i knew that "this land is our land" was coming, they pulled it off with great energy. the place was only half full, but it was as loud as just about any show i've been to at the BC. fun night out - not quite the level of intensity that morello got going at coachella last year, but at least we didn't have to put with a cameo from perry farrell
