i don't really have much of an opinion on the black kids, but i thought  this article was a pretty good rundown on the perils of blog culture.

I agree with Booker re: that article.
 
 
 They do have a few catchy songs but the blog hype is out of hand.

 I started into music blogs for about 2 months before I realized it was just a "who's cooler than who" in the breaking of new bands. Now, I can't remember the last time I actually read a strictly music blog.
 
 I may not hear about the newest bands as quickly as they break, but at least I don't waste some of my time with half-baked trends.
