There.  Anyone know what time they go on stage?  Phone at Sonar isn't responding and I don't think that they have show times on the site.  All I know is that doors are at 7:00.  I don't think that they have an opener - they didn't early on in the tour anyway.

i gave up on ween after they became sober.  i miss the days of powdered scotch gaurd bong hits.
and shinola really took the luster away.

god, i'm old.  i don't like ween or dinosaur anymore.

La Cucaracha left me underwhelmed, honestly.

They JUST became sober!!  It was only last tour that they were canceling shows and rehabbing!

la cucaracha is an adequate title for the album.  just listened to it for the first time today.  it's like a box of little bad things that you just want to squash and make go away.  bad ween . . . bad band for not realizing that drugs paint the numbers of creativity.

After a bunch of listens, it's definitely my least favorite major Ween release, I think.  Not a lot of great moments, although a few songs (Learnin' To Love, Woman and Man, and Your Party) are pretty great.  Still, even Object sounded good last night.

Uh, and MUSHROOM FESTIVAL IN HELL

You missed a pretty good show but it wasn't even close to any of their 930 shows. Much of the song selection came off as "through the motions" and safe.

 setlist:
 don't shit where you eat
 spinal meningitis
 now i'm freaking out
 bananas and blow
 learning to live
 take me away
 gabrielle
 don't get 2 close
 object
 even if you don't
 voodoo lady
 mutilated lips
 buckingham green
 party
 beacon light
 with my own bare hands
 tear for eddie
 back to basom
 golden eel
 the mollusk
 booze me up
 stroker ace
 touch my tooter
 fat lenny >
 did you see me
 dr.rock
 you fucked up

 ::encore::
 fiesta
 nan
 jonny on the spot >
 licking the palm for guava>
 mushroom festival in hell

The encore was ridiculous; that Mushroom Festival was monstrous.

You think?  I thought it was better than the last 9:30 show.  I seem to remember Gene calling it a night and Dean even saying "This is the last song??"

Not the best I've seen, but I could easily listen to  "Buckingham Green" live on repeat.  I'm not remotely a fan of Sonar, though.  Ugh.
