« on: November 26, 2007, 11:29:00 pm »
This show sold out like a month before the show so i didnt even bother going...Anyone go? I saw Coheed at warped tour this year and they put on a suprisingly very good performance(I always hated that light voice but it actually sounded pretty good with the band and all live)....I always wanted to see clutch too...Anyone go?

I'm sure I could speak for a lot of the staph when I say Clutch's set was way too short! haha  :)

I can't remember the last time I saw Clutch play for only 45 minutes.

Isn't it great to see a thread and feel that you have something to offer as well stated and though provoking as the above.

However, I would have to beg to differ. Having seen both bands live I would point out that neither band sucks, although I am not really a Coheed fan. Point of fact, Clutch is an AMAZING band and delivered more in their short 45 minute set than most bands can give in a typical 90 minute set. They are individually great musicians and collectively incredible, especially live. Of course I'm just basing that on my limited experience of having seen thousands of live bands perform. Just my humble opinion.

clutch worked with an odd situation and put on a great set in front of what could be called a lukewarm reception at best.  they are consistently one of the best live acts out there.  that, and they had badass maryland license plate belt buckles.

i'm not a huge fan of coheed, but they put on a good  show and the kids were way into it.  that is, until the 30+ minute extended jam/solo series in the encore.  they lost me, and a good portion of their crowd, there.  i didn't go for that stuff in the 80's at the cap centre, and i didn't go for it at the club either.
