I paid $35 to see them play in Dublin, Ireland a few months back.  They were very, very good. I'm definitely going to shill out the dough to see them in DC.

in my opinion, they are the best live band on the planet. if it weren't for me being out of town, i'd go both nights.

and i've already seen them 15-16 times before.

i went to the college park show last month. they were excellent (even though the venue set-up was weak).

The first time I saw them, at Moby's area one tour, their show wasn't anything special though not without its charm. However the second time early this year they were astounding. I expect it to be good.

Some people will complain that the 35 bucks is too much to pay for any show.  But I agree that this is worth it.  Great live band.  Saw em about a year ago when they did the Okayplayer show.  Felt a bit ripped off because they didn't play much at all - rather it was a showcase for their label.  When they do the full-on set they are pretty impressive.
