news to me
« on: February 19, 2004, 06:00:00 pm »
a-rod will play 3rd for the yankees....congrats to the yankees for winning the 2004 world series if they get pitching.

william "she bangs" hung got a record contract (same label as master p and tupac?).

ozzfest: details released tommorrow, leaked?, 15 bands...more will be added or bands will have longer sets. it looks good.  i know what you are thinking..."we don't care, we like bands without talent"

 The Main Stage

 Ozzy Osbourne (headlining)
 Judas Priest (co-headliners)
 Slayer
 Dimmu Borgir
 Superjoint Ritual
 Black Label Society

 The Second Stage

 Slipknot (headlining)
 Hatebreed (co-headliners)
 Lamb of God

 Bands who will rotate

 Atreyu
 Bleeding Through
 Lacuna Coil
 Every Time I Die
 Unearth
 God Forbid

 THE WORST TOUR EVER
This afternoon will mark a press conference in LA that will announce the lineup for this Summer's PROJEKT REVOLUTION TOUR. Confirmed on the bill so far is:

 LINKIN PARK
 KORN
 SNOOP DOGG
 THE USED

Dates, cities, and exact venues will of course be announced at a later time. The tour is expected to last from July 23rd to Sept 6th.  Korn under Linkin Park....bull shit. but i dont care because i will be at home that day eating pie or pudding.

The NINE INCH NAILS rumour mill is once again in full effect. Product Shop NYC are reporting that NINE INCH NAILS are set to be headlining this years LOLLAPALOOZA 2004 and will have their album all finished and released by July.

The NIN Hotline, however, is refuting all rumors and quite rightly so.

"I want to stress to you that every rumor about a show in the last three years or so has turned out to be completely and utterly false."

Rocker Ozzy Osbourne Fears May Never Perform Again
 Thu Feb 19,11:44 AM ET

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Heavy metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne said on Thursday he fears he may not be able to perform again after an accident on an all-terrain vehicle late last year that left him in a coma for eight days.

"In my left shoulder I have a piece of metal approximately that long, that deep and screws in," Osbourne said in an interview with ABC's Primetime television show, to be broadcast on Thursday evening. "And I'm really frightened that I won't be able to perform again 'cause that's the love of my life."

The 55-year-old rocker first shot to fame in the 1970s with Black Sabbath and remained in the public eye after he launched a solo career. At a concert in Des Moines, Iowa, he bit the head off a bat, which he has since said he thought was a toy.

In recent years his popularity has reached new heights with the success of the hit MTV reality series, "The Osbournes," in which he stars with wife, Sharon, and two of his three children.

Osbourne crashed his four-wheel all-terrain vehicle, or quad bike, on Dec. 8 at his estate in Buckinghamshire in southern England. The bike flipped over and landed on him, leaving him with fractures in eight ribs and a vertebra.

That was my first thought when he got in his accident -- all along, I've been thinking, "Sharon, stop spending SO much money; soon Ozzy won't be able to tour!"  Yeah, I do think these things.  Don't even bother to make fun, I already know...

BUT, I bet they let the Ozzfest franchise go on and reap some cash from simply having his name on it.

That would be the smart thing to do.

I think it's funny that Hank Williams III, son of the greatest country musician of all time, is headlining Ozzfest as part of Superjoint Ritual...nearly as funny as his playing country at the Black Cat.

He already has a performance lined up here in SF - I saw it on the news last night.  He performed at halftime of the Berkeley volleyball game and is slated for a charity event.

I think it's awesome.  William Hung rocks!!

the label know that many people would buy Hung's cd. either as a joke or to be nice after seeing him "sing".  i bet he could sell out a couple venues around here.....

ozzy got hurt months ago...december i think...but sharon is a greedy bitch so she will make him perform anyway.  thats why last year they had korn and this year they have Priest, just incase he can't make it they have a strong headliner.  tickets will probaly be cheaper this year...

this is the best ozzfest ever!
