Is there a place that's good for getting rides?

Is there a place in this forum (or, y'know, elsewhere) that'd be good for finding a ride to a show? Say, just hypothetically, I needed a ride from VA to the Apples in Stereo show, how could I find someone who'd be willing to help me out?

The "Nightclub 9:30" section on our forum page would be appropriate place to look for carpools and ride shares.  However, we are in very close proximity to the green and yellow metro lines using the U Street stop, Vermont Ave Exit.
