saw a lot a lot this year.  these were far and above the best

mmmmmy bloody valentine @ roseland is #1.  obviously.
flight of the conchords @ lisner
pwrfl power @ pianos
sonic youth @ battery park
sebastien tellier @ hiro
broken social scene, film school, beach house, helio sequence @ siren festival
rumspringa @ love

and to spread the local love, every time i saw the dance party they were fantastic.
and i saw deleted scenes twohundredthousandtimes and each time they were amazing.

i wish i could put she & him on this list, too, because they are really great live...but the venue ruined it for me.

I really cut back on shows this year. I'm recession proof but my friends aren't.

Best concert moments of the year:
a fundraiser-Steven Tyler, Alice Cooper, Slash etc performing together
Camp Freddy-seeing Chrissy Hynde sing with dave navaro, matt sorum etc.

3 Doors Down-learning that the singer was "sick" so I got a refund

Shinedown at the 930 made my top ten, it's been a weak year.
