I thought they were actually pretty fantastic, despite the fact that they went on after midnight and the crowd was full of drunk douchebags. My only complaint was that the set was heavy on Good News (6 songs) and We Were Dead (5 songs) and I don't believe they played a single song from Lonesome Crowded West, but there were lots of old songs, including Broke, Here It Comes, 3rd Planet and others.  I can't recall the entire setlist, but I do know they played the following:

The View (definitely first)
Interstate 8 (definitely second)
Dashboard (definitely third, then things get a little fuzzy. . .)
Here It Comes
Tiny Cities Made of Ashes
3rd Planet
King Rat
Broke
Black Cadillacs
Bury Me With It
We've Got Everything
Parting Of The Sensory
Fly Trapped In A Jar
Paper Thin Walls
Blame It on the Tetons
(there were a couple more that I can't recall)

Encore:
Satin In A Coffin
(something)
The Good Times Are Killing Me

Feel free to help me out with what else they played.

Meh... I'm not a fan of the new album, so I'm kind of glad I skipped.

Thanks for the post!

For the record, there are like 3 or 4 songs that I left off the list that I either didn't recognize or just am forgetting about, would be curious to find out what they were.

To help on the setlist reconstruction, Good times are Killing Me was the last song of the main set.

Encore was three songs, Satin in a Coffin was first, Parting of the Sensory was the last song.

I was supposed to be out of town, but plans changed and I got a ticket last minute.  I thought it was by far the best of the few times I've seen Modest Mouse.  My biggest disappointment was also that there was nothing from Lonesome Crowded West.

Setlist:

The View
Interstate 8
Dashboard
Here it comes (awesome)
Tiny Cities..
King Rat
Custom Concern
3rd Planet
The Whale Song
Black Cadillacs
Broke
We've Got Everything
Fly trapped in a jar
Blame it on the tetons (very good as well)
Paper Thin Walls
Bury Me With It
Good times are killing me

-encore break-

Satin in a Coffin
Satellite Skin (very good new song)
Parting of the sensory

All in all it was a very good performance.  7th or 8th time I've seen them, but only the second in the last 7-8 years.  I'd given up on them live because it just wasn't any good.  However, they played quite well, better than any performance I'd seen from them previously.  A bit sloppy at times, lyrics got jumbled here and there, but nothing like in the past where they didn't seem to care at all.  The energy is what turned me off of them, it just wasn't there in the past.. there was a big disconnect between the energy and/or musicianship of their albums and the performance of their live show.  They bridged that gap finally.  They sounded like what I hoped they would when listening to their albums finally.  Then again, maybe my expectations have been lowered so much I just imagined it was better than it was.

Kinky kicked ass.
