Clarify "non professional" cameras...?
« on: March 10, 2010, 10:17:17 am »
Thought I remember from before that DSLRs were a no go for the general public but I saw quite a few there last night. The official policy seems to be that "non professional" are OK so I have always left mine at home. But saw at least 4 or 5 non-press/non-official types with them there last night.

Eddie, whats the official word on this? Thanks.

The official word is that this changes from band to band.  There is no standing house policy.  Sometimes the band asks that no cameras that won't fit in a standard shirt pocket be allowed in, other times no cameras with multiple lenses or exchangeable lenses and sometimes they don't care what you do.  You can always bring your camera along and, if it is not allowed in, we will check it in the office while you are here.  You can also ask here in the FAQ or call the box office at 202.265.0930 to check on the camera policy for a specific show.
