Who is actually a DC native?

My kids are DC natives

I've lived here for 10 years+ with the vast majority of it now in DC (Brightwood).

Grew up in Canada, but It tell people I am from DC.  If they ask more I tell them more.  I lived in Alexandria for about 3 1/2 years and a small stint in Gaithersburg so I've had the full beltway experience.

I don't have much connection with Canada or identify so much with its culture anymore so I don't go around telling people I am Canadian anymore, I just tell them I am from DC.

but nope not native.. not aboriginal either..  let's make this really confusing now...     Add more confusion I am considering moving back to Montgomery county..,.

the real question is . . . is dc safe after the two potential terrorists attacks (times sqaure/pittsburg marathon).  somehow i don't think it is good idea to go to the city anymore.  thank god i'm a country boy.

yes born at Sibley Hospital. Both my parents also grew up in DC (Mom went to Anacostia High School.) Grandfather owned a liquor store too in DC.  Definitely a DC native.

i'm obviously (to anyone that's read the nhl thread) not from here. my wife has lived in nova all of her life apart from college. when we travel she tells people we live in northern virginia, i usually say dc or near dc
