930 iPhone app
« on: September 29, 2010, 06:20:51 pm »

Just found out about this on the twitter... Only kicked the tires so far, but there is forum integration so beware that someone mom might be reading :).  Wearing pants also recommend..

Cool.  Where's the Android app?

You should be in that space before Android passes iOS in market penetration.  That should be by the end of Q1 2011 if not sooner.

Mods should add tapatalk support to the forum if there is no Android app in the works.

My feedback so far, in case the app devs are checking here.

The Buzz feature seems really flaky,  it's only loaded once for me.  When the content didn't seem so compelling either.

When using the 4um Forum feature, I think the "Read Full Story" button should re-direct not the regular web page display, but the mobile page display like how the mobile 9:30 website is setup.  Also, when you read follow the link the button on the top of the displayed forum page says "Win Stuff".

I've noticed that the app navigation features occasionally disappear when viewing web pages, so either you have open page in Safari or close the app to got back.

To me it would make sense to pre-load some of the more "static" content like the menu or merchandise instead of just displaying the web page.

Overall, a nice one stop place to get club info!

More feedback after this morning content update....

Stability appears to be an issue, it's crashed a couple times on me already.

The Buzz feature is now working,  although the content right is of the "that's nice and move Long".  It's clearly aggregating stories mentioning band with upcoming shows, which just isn't that compelling.

My biggest beef is that a less than flattering photo from a recent event has re-surfaced

Just found out about this on the twitter...
I saw it in the blast. Speaking of Twitter the old 930 page isn't working nor is the new one - is it just me?

Just noticed that the slideshow feature of the photos goes too fast, and it moves along before the photo can load,

Or November 2010, I suppose:
