Door Policy @ 9:30 Club
« on: May 24, 2011, 09:34:50 am »
I was at the 9:30 Club this weekend for White Lies. It seemed a bit odd, but I was asked to take
out nearly every last thing in my purse including my keys. I wasnt given an explanation - and then
asked to unzip the side lining of my bag. The woman seemed dismayed to learn that there is no
functional purpose but only design. It is a purse.

She didnt ask about a camera, cell phone or ipod or what I had in there.

My friend entered behind me - who was carrying a tiny bag that had her keys and lipstick, and was told absolutely she could not take video (she didnt even have a camera or anything that took video).

Ive gone there plenty of times (not recently), but Ive never been subjected to this. It was odd for all of us involved. If theres a new policy that you cant bring in anything - itd be nice to be told.

It said outside absolutely no video (maybe no pro photography either) outside as you entered. If thats all that was about - she could have just told us.

No new policies.  Were you giving off some kind of bootleg-videotaping-crew vibe or something?
