U Street Music Hall

I'm probably pretty late on starting a thread about this spot but I wanted to know what you guys thought about this place. From it being other places from before, I'm glad someone snatched that spot up and made it into something that could be around for the long run. Thoughts?

love the venue and its sound :)

i've only seen one band so far....sweetcell's fave frontwoman.....Nomi from Jessica 6 (and Hercules Love Affair).

Love it. Best/favorite venue in DC. Sound it beyond words. Drinks could be cheaper, but I still drink'em.

I cant wait to check it out for the SVI/Soundpool/Ceremony shin dig, as it sounds like a pretty bad ass place to watch live music around here.

This is going to be a good show. Love all 3 bands! And, damn it!, there is no way that I can make it.  :(

Come out next week on Wednesday to see my homie Harry Hotta spin classic hip hop/soul/dance music. Its free I think.

i'm going to u street music hall for the first time(!) on sunday for the See-I show. it says it starts at 10, but does that mean doors at 10 and See-I at like 11 or midnight? not sure if this place is like red where things really didn't get started until after 2 am or do they close up shop at 2 am because last call is 1.30 am.

Doors usually at 10, when you walk down to the ticket booth they'll probably have the set times. On weekends doors are gernerally 10pm unless it's an early show. Fri/Sat last call is 2:30, I believe on Sunday it is 1:30. I've been there on Saturdays til past 4am hahaha not sure when they officially "close"
