"CP: With all of these different kinds of bands like, say, Gilchrist and Wye Oak, among those you mentioned, there are some bands that aren?t usually sharing a bill the rest of the year. Are there any combinations that will be surprising to people?

DU: I don?t know how much I can say about this. But there will be a moment of surprise during the show where you will see a bunch of musicians play together who haven?t played together before. It is a special thing. But it is sort of a secret."

edit: i believe it is B1K playing Friday night right before Horselords.  B1k as in "bee thousand" - apparently Guided by Voices coverband made up of different bmore musicans

missed the slow jerks last night (though heard they were great?)

saw Santa Dads (was hoping to miss them but it was running late)
Moss of Aura - had some equipment troubles or something so made it run even later...but i always dig seeing this guy play (keyboard player from future islands)
Adventure - thought these guys were great....he kind of reminds me of 'forgetful' dan deacon
Celebration topped off the night with some new songs and I thought they sounded great - sounded better than the last time I saw them at Artscape.

Looking forward to seeing Big in Japan w/ Katrina from Celebration again - saw them together at Artscape and they are so much better when she is singing with them.

You didnt go to Windup for the rest of the shows?

I ran late and was only able to catch Happy Family, Believers (it must have been Future Islands side project night), and Holy Ghost Party before I called it a night.

I plan on getting there for Which Magic and Wing Dam tonight.
