But he doesn’t cause there is also the fact that he loves debt! Everyone should know that as it’s been his modus operandi for five decades. Take on debt and find ways to get out of it.

Lower rates would also help him refinance and take on more debt. A tiger does not change stripes at 78!!

So it’s a balancing act. He wants things that will lead to inflation - and he knows it-but wants to appear tough on inflation. It’s all about appearances and pulling the wool over peoples eyes…. I also expect that if inflation continues the inflation numbers will be futzed with.
