This may be old news to some, State Theatre no longer uses Ticketmaster....www.thestatetheatre.com:
"To our valued customers:
In an effort to make the ticket buying process more responsive to you, our clientele, and to reduce the cost of purchasing tickets, the State Theatre has switched away from Ticketmaster. We hope that you find the change beneficial both in ease of use and in cost savings. Depending on ticket price, the convenience fees for online and phone purchase will be about 40% less than before. As always, there will be no convenience fee for tickets purchased at the Box Office.
The new system will be partially enabled by midnight on Tuesday December 19. At that time tickets may be purchased directly from the box office or purchased online. All tickets purchased online will be available only for pick-up at the box office will call window on the day of the show. This is only a temporary situation while we finalize the transition.
Starting on January 1, you will also have the ability to:
1. phone charge tickets directly through the box office
2. print ??print at home? tickets from your home printer, or
3. have tickets mailed directly to your home or business
These three options will be in addition to the options available now (in person at the box office and purchasing ??will call? tickets on the web).
We apologize for the temporary disruption in ticket availability, but feel confident that the new system will prove to be a gain for everyone.Thank you for your patience and your continued patronage. Happy Holidays! - State Theatre staff
Ticket Booth now open 12 Noon - 5 PM Mon-Fri
and also 12 Noon - 11:30 PM on all show nights"
