Three Days Grace
« on: March 15, 2004, 01:29:00 pm »
So anyone going tomorrow to this show with Apartment 26 (with Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler son on vocals) and Edgewater.  I'm DJing the show which means I'll be the one wear pants and a kilt.  Any serious requests?  Can't promise to honor them but I'm just curious as what people would like to hear at such a show.

 Avoid One Thing
 (feat. Matt Skiba)

 Pop Punk Band

i wanna be in a pop punk band
tryin to ride to pop punk land
i know what i'm gonna wear
i'll have spiky pop punk hair

bore us, bore us, got a stupid chorus
just cant stop it, got it at hot topic
no need to read the lyric sheet
it's the same old song, the same old harmony

i'm gonna find me a pop punk girl
its not tough in a pop punk world
a love that cant be bought
i wanna sing like tom delonge

bore us, bore us, got a stupid chorus
just cant stop it, got it at hot topic
no need to read the lyric sheet
it's the same old song, the same old harmony

i got it at hot topic
my parents dropped me off to pay for it
get all my ideas from mtv
i got it at hot topic
my parents dropped me off to pay for it
 prepackaged for comformity
 so fuck me

bore us, bore us, got a stupid chorus
just cant stop it, got it at hot topic
no need to read the lyric sheet
it's the same old song, the same old harmony

Last nights setlist
 aka
"School of What Rocks" with Prof Wren

Three Days Grace, Apartment 26 & Edgewater

 Washington, DC
 3/16/04

 Kyuss - "Shine"
New Model Army - "Brave New World"
 Stiff Little Fingers - "Hurricane"
 A Perfect Circle - "Weak & Powerless"
QOSTA - "The Lost Art of Keeping"
 Sepultura - "Ratamahatta"
 Puya - "Ride"
Body Count - "Body Count Anthem"
Probot (w/Lemmy) - "Shake Your Blood"
Prong - "Get a Grip On Yourself"
 Therapy? - "Die Laughing"
 Burning Brides - "Arctic Snow"
The Frauds - "The Church of Seduction & The Republic of Business"
 Iggy Pop - "Mask"
Idlewild - "A Film For the Future"
 The Sonics - "Psycho"
 Dead Boys - "Sonic Reducer"
 Jawbox - "Tongues"
 Bunny - "Swerve"
 Sevendust - "Praise"
The Impotent Sea Snakes - "Heaven's Gate"
 Avenged Sevenfold - "Chapter Four"
 Powerman 5000 - "Son of X-51"
 Audioslave - "Cochise"

 Edgewater Set

 "The Government Lies?"

White Zombie - "More Human Than Human"
Clutch - "The Mob Goes Wild"
Cop Shoot Cop - "Surprise Surprise"
Dead Kennedy's - "Holiday In Cambodia"
System of a Down - "Prisons"

 Apartment 26 Set

 "...What the Little Girls Understand
(aka I got lazy and turned into WHFS)"

 Primal Scream - "Exterminator"
 Trapt - "Headstrong"
 Staind - "Place to Play"
Story of the Year - "Until the Day I Die"
 Yellowcard - "Finish Line"
 Thrice - "All That's Left"
 Sunna - "Power Struggle"

 3DG Set

 Soundgarden - "Girl U Want"
Romantics - "When Will It End"
Living End - "Prisoner of Society"
The Bamboo Kids - "She Got Off"

p.s. The Sonics followed by "Sonic Reducer" was totally unintentional.  At the time it was merely two songs fitting together well.  Sort of like my recent mix cd with Myracle Brah followed by "Teenage Mojo Workout"  damn subconscious taking over   :)

I wonder if 3DG sells their hockey pucks at shows they aren't headlining... I could see the guitarist mohawk being used for target pratice.

linkage to still active New Model Army, Thearpy?, can be found   here

Kosmo Vinyl: VERY nice job last night. I didn't mind the standing around waiting for the next set so much this time.
