So what's the verdict?  I think it's a big improvement upon their debut and they've taken major strides in developing a sound of their own.

Btw, has anybody heard their cover of Massive Attack's "Teardrop" by any chance?

its brilliant - Fugitive Motel was probably my favorite song of last year along with Where have all the rude boys gone

I also think its a stronger effort than their first

An easier listen than "Asleep in the Back" but have to say I like the first one better. Still, Fugitive Motel, Not a job and Grace Under Pressure are all favs. I saw them at Brixton about a month back and they were brilliant. One of the top ten shows I've ever seen! Hopefully they will make it to DC soon.

I love Elbow, both new and old, however I think I prefer the 1st album.

I've had a copy of Teardrop since last Summer. It's an excellent cover.
