My take:
 
 For years, Club Heaven and Hell has been the obvious weekly choice of recent transplants to the area looking for a place to celebrate 80s music. But if you are looking for a place to listen to obscure influential 80's cuts alongside the obvious choices, Saccharine is the place to be.
 
 Zucchabar is a nice subterranean lounge mere steps away from the obvious attractions in Adams Morgan. The crowd has a locals-only feel, and the staff are very approachable. It's a great place to bring your best friends for a sane night of music and drinks.
